4-Day Ballistic Shield Instructor Course

Maximize the potential of one of law enforcement’s most effective yet underutilized tools: the ballistic shield. This comprehensive 4-day, train-the-trainer course empowers participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills to enhance the use of ballistic shields in tactical situations. Designed for instructors, this course covers shield ballistics, effective shooting techniques, deployment strategies, and instructional methods to train others. By the end of the course, you'll have a robust understanding of the shield’s capabilities and tactical advantages, equipping you to elevate shield training within your own team or department.

• Semi-auto pistol of choice, 3 or more magazines
• Patrol rifle (if available), 3 or more magazines
• Duty/Tactical gear with holster and magazine pouches
• A functional shield from your agency (if available)
• Minimum 700 rounds of pistol, 300 rounds of rifle ammunition (provided by student)
• Marking cartridge (SIMS/UTM) setup for your weapon systems. 200 marking rounds (100 rifle, 150 pistol)-provided by student. Limited sets available to rent.
