PISTOL FOUNDATIONS LEVEL 2 COURSE April 27th, 2024
Level 2 will build upon Pistol Foundations 1. This is still a course for new shooters. Instead of majority lecture and classroom as in Level 1, Level 2 is mostly about the shooting. You will spend the day on the range doing live fire! We will still go over the proper shooting fundamentals and safety but students need to minimally be comfortable with loading/unloading and firing their respective handgun at a 5 yard target PRIOR to taking this class. IF YOU HAVE NEVER SHOT BEFORE, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE PISTOL FOUNDATIONS LEVEL 1 BEFORE ATTENDING THIS CLASS.

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of firearm fundamentals or our Level 1 class.
Location: April 27th, 2024. Field Sports Park. San Jose, CA . 9am-4pm.
Topics:
- Safe weapon handling
- Recap of shooting fundamentals
- Marksmanship-driven work
- Introduction to standard pistol targets (IPSC/IDPA)
- Trigger control and accuracy drills
Hardware/Equipment:
- Functional semi-auto pistol of choice
- 3 or more magazines for pistol, 6 for single stack
- Minimum of 350 rounds of pistol ammo (provided by student)
- Note pad, pen, sharpie
- Ear protection (electronic preferred)/ eye protection
- Seasonally appropriate clothing for moderate activity
- Canteen, camelback, etc
- Pack a lunch and snacks
- Good attitude and open mind
