PISTOL FOUNDATIONS LEVEL 2 COURSE (CA)

Ready to put your handgun fundamentals to work? Pistol Foundations Level 2 moves the focus from the classroom to the range, giving newer shooters a full day of live-fire training. We’ll review safety and proper shooting fundamentals, then help you apply them through guided practice and instructor feedback.
This is still a course for newer shooters—you don’t need to be an expert, but you do need prior shooting experience. Rental pistols available in 9mm or .40 caliber.
Before attending, you must be comfortable loading, unloading, and firing your handgun at a 5-yard target. Never shot before? We strongly recommend Pistol Foundations Level 1 first.

- Safe weapon handling
- Recap of shooting fundamentals
- Marksmanship-driven work
- Introduction to standard pistol targets (IPSC/IDPA)
- Trigger control and accuracy drills
- Holster fundamentals
Hardware/Equipment:
- Functional semi-auto pistol of choice
- 3 or more magazines for pistol, 6 for single stack
- Minimum of 350 rounds of pistol ammo (provided by student)
- Note pad, pen, sharpie
- Ear protection (electronic preferred)/ eye protection
- Seasonally appropriate clothing for moderate activity
- Canteen, camelback, etc
- Pack a lunch and snacks
- Good attitude and open mind
