Students will be exposed to practical shooting concepts commonly found in competitive pistol shooting leagues. Students will be challenged with balancing appropriate levels of speed and accuracy that is necessary to be successful while shooting matches. Students will also be pushed to improve their gun-handling skills as well as their ability to maneuver while engaging or moving to engage targets. Students will leave class with the knowledge to improve their shooting during self-led dry and live fire.  Students will also be taught the general safety rules that are used in many shooting leagues, but this class will not fulfill the Safety Course requirement that most shooting clubs require prior to attending their first match.

Prerequisite: Pistol Foundations Course or other formal basic handgun training. This is not a class designed for new pistol shooters. Students should be very comfortable in the handling of the gun and holster they bring to class.
